EU AMBASSADOR SETS TO VISIT PUJEHUN DISTRICT.

In a drive to familiarize himself with communities in Sierra Leone, the European Union Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Manual Muller is set to visit Pujehun District for the first time.

Ambassador Manuel Müller is a staunch advocate of gender equality and women and girls' empowerment and will equally share his advocacy stride to citizens of Pujehun District.

The courtesy visit is expected to happen on Friday, 17th May 2024 where, the European Union within its borders will promote peace, its values and the well-being of its citizens, offer freedom, security and justice without internal borders, while also taking appropriate measures at its external borders to regulate asylum and immigration, prevent and combat crime.

During his visit, the head of EU delegation to Sierra Leone, Ambassador Manuel Müller will interface with the various Ministries Departments and Agencies and other Non State Actors in Pujehun District to bring possible solutions to the development of the district.

He is also expected to have a meeting with the Pujehun District Council where the Council will update the European Union Ambassador on the implementations of the EU funded project and other development the Union has assisted the people of Sierra Leone more particularly Pujehun District.

It is worthy to note that, The European Union ( EU ) is an economic and political union of 27 countries. It operates an internal or single market which allows free movement of goods, capital, services and people between member states.
