Hon. Sidi Mohamed Tunis Sets Record Straight on Parliament Speaker Selection!

In an exclusive interview with Radio Democracy 98.1, Honorable Sidi Mohamed Tunis, renowned for his open-door policy and kindness towards his colleagues, shed light on the selection of the new Speaker of Parliament.

Despite initial speculations about his own interest in the role, Hon. Tunis clarified that the party will throw its weight behind Hon. Sengepor to succeed as the new Speaker, emphasizing Sengepor's capabilities and qualifications for the position.

"I can go against the decision of the party leaders,"Hon. Tunis affirmed, suggesting his ability to discern beyond the immediate party consensus.

When questioned about potential presidential aspirations, Hon. Tunis remained steadfast in focusing on the government agenda. "It's too early for anyone to start campaigning for the Presidency," he said, emphasizing the importance of achieving President Bio's ambitious "big five" agenda for the nation.
