If only APC had someone like Dr. Shengeh...

I am a die-hard APC. My parents and my entire family will always vote APC. If you open my skin, I bleed red. When I pee and it's red, I don't go to the hospital- that's how much APC I am. 

But we have a problem. The old ones have held our party hostage. Our Chairman for Life still continues to call the tune because he's paying the piper. The problem is that the tune is not good anymore. The piper is tired and has no energy to perform on a high level and high energy stage. The piper can't finish even a 2-hour concert standing. This means the APC talented young ones are left languishing with no hope. 

Recently, Osman Timbo- aka youngest, was wronged. He was denied the ECOWAS Parliament role by our party leadership. Lawyer Timbo is an astute man, has the experience and exposure to represent our party in ECOWAS and yet, he was set aside for other interests. He's someone who has suffered for our party but he's been treated like nothing. 

At the same time, the SLPP is giving their own young people opportunities to shape and reform their party. Dr Sengeh as Chief Minister is also the Chair of their Constitution Review. And he was even put as the head of negotiation opposite to the leader of our Party. SLPP put a 36 year old man then to negotiate with our over 60 year old Leader. Tuma Jabbie, Francis Kelfala, Tim Kabba, Phylis Kapu, and many many many more young people. 

APC needs to learn fast and act quick otherwise 2028 will be the end of our party. We need to find our own David Shengehs. We need to find our own technocrat who has the energy, intensity, and ability to play modern tunes in a 5 hour concert on any stage in the world. 

I do believe David Shengeh has his own excesses but love him or hate him, he is appealing to the younger generation through his music and social media engagement. And for the first time, I am left wondering if APC doesn't bring forward someone who can inspire hope what I'm going to do in 2028. I don't see myself voting for SLPP but I certainly will not vote against a compenent, young person who loves our country no matter what party they come from. I will stay home.

So I have just one question for my APC family- who is the David Sengeh of APC?
