Kao Denero's 'Heroes' Album- Cementing His Legacy As a True Rap Icon!
By: Sulaiman Stom Koroma.
Kao Denero has undeniably left a significant mark on the music industry in Sierra Leone and beyond. His latest album, "Heroes," showcases his versatility by blending storytelling with hard-hitting rap, dancehall, and reggae elements. Kao Denero's consistency, talent, and contribution to the music industry make him one of the greatest rappers Sierra Leone has produced.
With a career spanning over two decades and a discography of over ten albums, he has proven his prowess as a talented rapper and artist, despite facing competition from other notable Sierra Leonean rappers like 'Shine The God Son' (may he continue to rest in peace), LAJ, Shadow Boxer and many others, Kao Denero has managed to carve out a unique space for himself in the industry.
I am not a big fan of this 'Bluffing' Supper Star, but I have enjoyed most of his songs like, 'E Monah', ' Leh we Dance', ' Ghetto Struggle ', 'Back to my Root', Baby Gal', his verse in 'Money na Bank', 'Only Girl', the entire 'Heroes' album and other songs.
While his career hasn't been without controversies and conflicts with fellow artists both in Sierra Leone and Africa, Kao Denero's dedication to his craft is evident in his body of work.
My biggest surprise in this album was how he managed to focus on his music and artistic endeavours, without mentioning or establishing himself as the music ambassador of Sierra Leone.
His collaborations with artists like Busy Signal and other African musicians have further solidified his position as a respected figure in the music scene.
His impact will continue to resonate for years to come, cementing his legacy as a true icon in Sierra Leone and African music
