Youth Rise Above, backed by the Theresa and Sheku Kallon Foundation, is initiating a two-day Free Uniform project aimed at providing essential school uniforms to pupils in Pejewa and Kundorwahun towns in the Peje and Barri Chiedoms of Pujehun District respectively, for the 2024-2025 school year.
Led by CEO Madam Theresa Kallon, the project seeks to support underprivileged students and foster a conducive learning environment.
Chief Amara of Kundorwahun expressed profound appreciation for the initiative, recognizing its positive impact on the community.
The dedicated team arrived in Kundorwahun on Thursday, May 9, 2024, where they aim to outfit 450 students from schools including ICS Junior Secondary School, ICS Pre School Kundorwahun, and Kundorwahun Primary School.
In Pejewa, Andrew Tarawally, Coordinator of the Pejewa branch, anticipates a seamless process as they prepare to serve 200 students on Friday.
This collaborative effort involves instructors like the Head of the Tailoring Department (HOD) Madam Hawa Rogers and Mr. Samuel Kamara, who have been instrumental in improving the tailoring skills of Youth Rise Above students throughout the year.
Beyond this initiative, Youth Rise Above is actively seeking partnerships with businesses, government entities, hospitals, and schools to expand uniform projects and continue their impactful community contributions.
