If only APC had someone like Dr. Shengeh...

Image
I am a die-hard APC. My parents and my entire family will always vote APC. If you open my skin, I bleed red. When I pee and it's red, I don't go to the hospital- that's how much APC I am.  But we have a problem. The old ones have held our party hostage. Our Chairman for Life still continues to call the tune because he's paying the piper. The problem is that the tune is not good anymore. The piper is tired and has no energy to perform on a high level and high energy stage. The piper can't finish even a 2-hour concert standing. This means the APC talented young ones are left languishing with no hope.  Recently, Osman Timbo- aka youngest, was wronged. He was denied the ECOWAS Parliament role by our party leadership. Lawyer Timbo is an astute man, has the experience and exposure to represent our party in ECOWAS and yet, he was set aside for other interests. He's someone who has suffered for our party but he's been treated like nothing.  At the same time, the SLP

His latest album, "Heroes," showcases his versatility by blending storytelling with hard-hitting rap, dancehall, and reggae elements. Kao Denero's consistency, talent, and contribution to the music industry make him one of the greatest rappers Sierra Leone has produced.  With a career spanning over two decades and a discography of over ten albums, he has proven his prowess as a talented rapper and artist, despite facing competition from other notable Sierra Leonean rappers like 'Shine The God Son' (may he continue to rest in peace), LAJ, Shadow Boxer and many others, Kao Denero has managed to carve out a unique space for himself in the industry. I am not a big fan of this 'Bluffing' Supper Star, but I have enjoyed most of his songs like, 'E Monah', ' Leh we Dance', ' Ghetto Struggle ', 'Back to my Root&#

ELECTION OF THE SPEAKER: A PRACTITIONER GUIDE!

Image
By: MLD Rogers It makes us pensive nowadays to see several experts on Parliament. Disturbingly, they do not listen nor do they ask for professional advice from the practitioners in the space.  Is it that we need to change our approach as practitioners? Is it that we need to recalibrate parliamentary management and administration?  This is a topic worth looking into some other time. In any case, to guide the discussion relating to the agenda of the House for Thursday 2 May 2024 ie Election of the Speaker. *Section 159* of the Constitution has no energy in the unfolding *internal parliamentary politics.* I wonder why *Section 159* of the Constitution has become so relevant and trending on this issue. If any, it would have been considered maybe after the election of the Speaker because of our current electoral system.  The closest example in practice and procedure in respect of the election of the House Speaker was the election of Rt Hon. Speaker S.B.B. Dumbuya in 2013. He was a sitting
